The Pool Time Story
What started as one man with a truck and a passion for pools has grown into Sacramento’s most trusted pool and spa company. In 1989, Joe Paglucia began Pool Time Pool & Spa with a simple goal: provide honest, quality pool service to families in the Arden area of Sacramento.
Joe, a Sacramento native, understood something that many contractors miss – when you’re working in someone’s backyard, you’re not just building a pool, you’re creating the heart of family memories. Those summer barbecues, kids’ birthday parties, and quiet evening swims don’t happen by accident. They happen because someone took the time to build something right.
From those humble beginnings with just pool service, Joe’s commitment to quality and personal attention caught on. Within three years, he hired his first employee. Today, more than three decades later, Pool Time has grown to over 70 employees and 25 trucks serving the entire Greater Sacramento area.

Joe has never forgotten where he started or why he loves this business. After 35+ years in the industry, he still meets with customers personally and oversees most jobs. It’s not unusual to see Joe roll up in one of the Pool Time trucks to check on a project or answer a customer’s questions directly.
